What distinguishes the Moonport approach

Built for self-directed learners

Courses are written for adults who want to understand, not just receive answers. Each module builds on the last, and the written exercises produce something you keep.

Hong Kong context throughout

MPF structure, local tax treatment, property considerations, and the realities of HKD-denominated retirement income are woven into every programme.

A written plan you leave with

Participants complete each programme with documented thinking — not a sales pitch from an adviser, but a review framework built in your own words.

Structured but flexible pacing

Weekly module releases allow you to work through content alongside the demands of professional life, without the pressure of a live classroom schedule.

No product recommendations

Moonport does not sell financial products. There is no distribution arrangement behind the course content, which allows a straightforward focus on the learning material.

Small cohorts by design

Each intake is deliberately limited in size. Discussion forums reflect genuine conversation rather than broadcast, and questions receive considered responses.

Retirement planning deserves a clear head and good information

If you are within a decade of your planned retirement and want to understand your position more clearly, we would welcome an enquiry.

Frequently asked questions

Who are these courses designed for?
The courses are written for people who are roughly five to ten years from their planned retirement, have accumulated savings or investments, and want to review their situation with a structured framework rather than leaving the question unexamined. Prior financial knowledge is helpful but not required — the programmes begin from first principles.
Are these courses live or self-paced?
Modules are released on a weekly schedule, so there is a natural course rhythm that participants follow together. The actual study can be completed at whatever time of day suits you. Discussion forums allow participants to exchange questions and observations between module releases.
How much time should I set aside each week?
Most participants spend three to four hours per week on each programme, including readings, exercises, and participation in the discussion forum. The written review exercises, which form the core output of the course, typically take a little longer in earlier weeks as participants gather and organise their information.
What does the final review meeting in the Full Programme involve?
Participants in the Full Pre-Retirement Wealth Programme receive a one-to-one session — conducted remotely or in our Central office — to review the written plan they have produced through the course. The purpose is to walk through the document with a second set of eyes and consider whether the thinking is internally consistent, not to offer investment recommendations.
Does Moonport provide personalised investment advice?
No. Moonport is an educational provider. Course content covers financial concepts, frameworks, and self-review techniques. It does not constitute regulated financial advice. Participants who want personal advice from a licensed adviser are encouraged to seek that separately, and completing a Moonport course often helps participants have clearer conversations with such advisers.
What is the refund or deferral policy?
Full details are available in the course terms. As a general principle, participants who need to defer to a future cohort may usually do so without charge if they notify us before the second module is released. Enquire directly for circumstances that fall outside that window.
